At Klar, Data Engineering is the Foundation of Trust. You aren't just moving bytes; you are committing to making reliability, data accuracy, and system security our foremost priorities. As a Senior Engineer, you will own the "magic" of our data layer , architecting systems that enable rapid evolution without sacrificing stability. We value long-term quality, meaning we demonstrate pride through thorough testing, ensuring our data is reliable and our pipelines are robust.

Your Responsibilities:

• Own Ambiguous Projects: You take high-level business goals (epics) and break them down into concrete technical plans, delivering complex services that drive our platform.

• Architect for the Future: You design for scalability, security, and performance, ensuring these are foundational elements rather than afterthoughts.

• Elevate the Team: You actively mentor and elevate your teammates, helping L1 and L2 engineers grow through code reviews and pairing.

• Own the Incident: When things break, you own the response, communicate clearly, drive the post-mortem, and implement follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.

• Build Trust: You ensure data accuracy and pipeline robustness, understanding that the business builds strategies based on the foundation you provide.

💪 About You

• The Mindset: You believe that "We Will Be the Foundation of Trust". You are willing to slow down to protect this trust , and you take pride in owning your systems end-to-end.

• Experience: You have deep experience designing and maintaining high-volume data pipelines and query engines, capable of handling complex ETL processes.

• Hard Skills: You are proficient in Python 3. Experience with ClickHouse (our column-oriented analytics DB) , Kafka for message passing , and workflow orchestration tools like Prefect 2 or Luigi is essential.

• Soft Skills: You possess Empathy & Candor. You are a "product thinker" who connects the "why" of a project directly to company imperatives.
